Samara Cygman

To conquer a phobia of fish, Samara did the only thing she could think of doing -- deciding to stick to the bathtub.

But a love of water and a fascination for the underwater world drew her to the sport of scuba diving and she was hooked. Certified in Nanaimo in the year 2000, Samara has revisited the West Coast every year to see her old underwater friends (the Giant Pacific Octopus, the Wolf Eel and the sea lion) and make new ones along the way.

While most of her diving has been in Canadian waters, she has branched out to Mexico and plans to add more travel and diving to her lifetime itinerary. Now a certified Divemaster, Samara loves sharing her passion for scuba diving with others and finds much reward in introducing people to this incredible activity.
