It's closer than you think!

Blah, Blah, Blah

Follow the road towards the town of Waterton. As you enter town, you'll see the Kilmorey Lodge on your left. Continue straight through this intersection rather than turning left, and follow the road past Cameron Falls. Drive past the walk-in tenting area, down to the turn-around. Here you'll find a small picnic area with a camp kitchen. Park in posted areas, being careful to stay off grass.

Intermediate to advanced divers.

Walk down to the shore from the camp kitchen; then follow the shore along until you get to the rock cliffs. Enter the rock shore running perpendicular to the cliffs.

Bottom Conture:
The bottom drops off very quickly to a depth of 130+ feet.

Bottom Composition:
The bottom is very silty with little to see, this is a wall dive.

Currents:
None.

Water Temperature
Anywhere from 40° - 55° F.

Visibility:
Visibility can stretch as far as 30ft at the beginning and end of the season.

Depth:
The depth here exceeds 130ft but there is little to see at depth. A depth of 70ft would allow the interested diver to get a good picture of the rock formations without jeopardizing safety.

Marine Life:
You may catch an occassional glimpse of suckers, burbot (ling cod) and trout.

Vegetation:
None.

Underwater Attractions:
Although the underwater habitat has been removed, construction on a rock wall at about 35ft has begun. If you feel constructive, add on your own piece of dive history.

This is a beautiful dive as wall dives go. A very nice night dive at the mouth of the creek.

Hazards:
The wind causes quite wavy conditions and this is a common area for boat traffic.
