Edith Lake

Follow Hwy. #16 east of Jasper townsite; turn right towards the Jasper Park Lodge (2km north of town). Follow the road over a bridge, veer right and follow the signs to both Lake Annette and Lake Edith. Lake Edith will be the second lake on the left.

Hazards:
Many submerged trees around edges of lake, lots of fishing line etc., canoes and row boats, occasional sail boat and altitude.

Diver Experiance:
Novice and up.

Entry & Exit Points:
Proceed past the first parking area at Lake Annette and take the first left turn which leads to a parking loop and day use area. Walk down through the picnic area to the lake, where you will find a beautiful sandy beach which allows for easy dive access.

Bottom Contour:
A very gradual slope to a relatively flat bottom.

Bottom Composition:
The bottom is silty with an almost white sand appearance.

Currents:
None.

Water Temperature
Anywhere from 40° - 55° F. (4° - 12° C)

Visibility:
Usually between 10 - 35 feet.

Depth:
Drops to a maximum depth of 30ft.

Marine Life:
Minimal fish life.

Vegetation:
Vegetation consists of grassy weed beds.

Underwater Attractions:
Underwater plaque acknowledging the first Jasper Aquathon and river race. Fresh water coral in 6ft. to the left of entry point.
